Bathroom Renovation – Part 2

Bathroom renovation

Before Christmas we shared part one of our bathroom renovation with you. We thankfully managed to complete the renovation prior to the main event (just!) but we’ve been taking our time getting back into the groove of blogging and just general real life! Still we’re back today, with some finished photos of our latest project.

Our downstairs bathroom is pretty small, and very hard to photograph! However the pictures *should* be good enough for you to see the improvements we’ve made!

We replaced the old pink suite (nice!) with a white one, and added a corner basin to try and maximise the space. The dado rail, red wallpaper and yellow walls have gone, and been replaced with crisp white and grey. Simon also created a fake wall behind the toilet (our new one fitted funny) and cleverly boxed in the sink piping with a removable tiled wall. We also replaced the outdated fittings and added some monochrome towels.

So, what do you think? We certainly prefer it, and it’s nice that our guests now know that red and yellow was definitely not our choice for decor!

Thanks Trisha! It is pretty damn close isn’t it, maybe I’ll have to change the blog name to 50 shades of grey!!

The grey and whatever has been so popular this year and you’ve done this color scheme justice!

Thanks Amy! I’m planning on adding grey in the living room as well, think I might have a slight addiction 😉

I typed grey and white and was autocorrected :/
      That’s what I meant anyways …

You picked a great color to be addicted to! I select colors for people for a living and I think grey is a very classy choice!!

I’ve never seen a tiled sink base, and y’all pulled it off very well! Great job on the reno!

Thanks Trisha! We had to do something to hide the ugly pipes, I’ll take full credit for this one as it was my idea – although the hubby did make it a reality!

You made the most of your small bath. I love the sink in the corner to save space.
