Our house chain is now complete, and our moving date is imminent! Finally, nearly 8 months after first listing our house it seems that we’ll be moving at the end of April. I’m not sure about the process in other countries, but in England it seems to be a complete nightmare, especially when there’s a chain involved.
To celebrate (and procrastinate from packing) we wanted to share some of our top tips when it comes to moving house.
I’ve been considering writing this post for a while, as it feels like a very personal thing to share with people, but after some searching I felt like it was something that needed to be shared as I couldn’t find anything else that talked about it openly.
I’m really excited to be able to share this news today, but we have finally found and moved into our third home! We were only renting for a 6 month period but it felt like a really long time, and it was a strange period of little DIY and projects. This will definitely be changing!
Earlier this week we shared Simon’s property checklist of things he looks for when viewing a property, and today it’s time for me to share mine. Both lists are different, although there are some things we both look for, but I love how we balance each other out!
Whilst viewing our 8th property this morning we noticed that we both look for very different things when we first view a property. There’s lots of great property checklist lists already out there: Rightmove
, and Primelocation
, to name a few. But we wanted to share our own, from a male and female more personal perspective. Today we’re sharing Simon’s list, and in a few days I’ll share mine. Hopefully it’ll help somebody out there who isn’t sure what they should and shouldn’t be looking at! View Post
