Christmas Home Tour 2016

Christmas Home Tour 2016

It’s nearly Christmas! I absolutely love this time of year, there’s nothing like festive lights to make me smile. I always think people seem to be in a better mood at this time of year as well – perhaps it’s the time off work, or just good old Christmas spirit! Christmas this year feels even more special as we’re finally in a home that we love, and with two living areas we get to have two trees as well. So without further ado, read on for our Christmas Home Tour 2016.

I’ll start with the small, but perfectly formed, tree that we have in our living room. As you may recall, our living room is navy, so we did struggle slightly with what colour theme to go for. In the end we settled on gold, although there are a few hints of red that snuck in there as well.

We don’t have much festive spirit in our kitchen unfortunately, but we do have a simple centrepiece which helps tie the space into the other living area. This was completely free, which is always a bonus at Christmas!

(If you look closely, you can see our lightbox in the corner as well – Merry Xmas!)

Then as we move into the conservatory the colours change to silver, white and a small amount of gold. This is our fake tree, but it’s a beauty! It’s pre-lit as well which makes decorating it so much quicker.

The lights add a pretty glow at night, but the tree is also pretty spectacular in the day (if I do say so myself!)

And finally we have one of Simon’s favourite decorations… It might not be quite from the pages of an interior magazine, but if you can’t have fun at Christmas, then when can you?
