June round up

june round up

How quickly did June fly by, I can’t believe it’s July already! We had a pretty busy month with numerous DIY projects and a move from WordPress to our very own domain. In case you missed any of it here’s a round up of what we got up to in June.

We took on quite a few projects this month, including my first foray with a sewing machine, an experiment with chalk paint and a really easy way to make your own cushions.

Along with these little projects we decided to tackle a few bigger projects as well!

First up was the free printable I created for our kitchen and decided to share with my lovely readers. These take pride of place on our kitchen shelves which have been restyled slightly. I’m toying with the idea of creating some more for the utility room!

We also tackled a project I’d been desperate to try – a DIY sun mirror. These have been popping up all over the internet and I was desperate to make our own. We’re so pleased with how it turned out and it looks fantastic on our dining room wall.

Side on final

Our final project for the month was another first attempt, refurbishing a chair. Although the final part of this project hasn’t been posted yet you can see our progress in Part One and Part Two.

Thanks Marie – we’ve been busy doing some less pretty DIY things recently but there’s some things in the pipeline for July!
